С̳ Centre for Medical Imaging
CMI is a partnership between С̳ and С̳ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (), and benefits from the interface between world-leading basic science research and expert clinical groups. CMI has access to multiple state-of-the-art imaging platforms, both experimental (e.g. hyperpolarised MRI) and established (e.g. 3T MRI). Multiple platforms are dedicated to research across multiple sites.
CMI comprises around 30 research staff, combining clincial radiologists, non-clinical basic scientists, and support staff, including research nurse, radiographers and administration. Many hold senior positions within international societies and clinical consensus groups. We have two NIHR senior investigators, one of whom is also FMedSci. We have a dedicated Imaging Trials group and access to the .
While we are most proud of our research, we are especially pleased with the convivial and enabling atmosphere within the Centre. This engenders an enjoyable and stimulating environment so that all employees can achieve to the very best of their potential.
CMI aims to remain the UK at the forefront of clinical imaging research worldwide so that we can ultimately improve patient outcomes. Please have a browse around our website where you will find details of the individual researchers and support staff working here, and information regarding research themes, past and present funding achieved, and our published research outcomes.
