Art in Egypt in the Byzantine Period: Coptic Architecture
The most prominent surviving buildings of Coptic architecture are the churches constructed throughout the country. The types attested are similar to churches in other parts of the Byzantine empire. Architectural elements are still very much in the tradition of classical Greek and Roman art.
