penannular earring | The interpretation as ear ring is not certain, but this type of ring was often found in burials next to the ears of the dead. (compare Säve-Söderbergh/Troy 1991: 276 (185/433), 279 (185/493), 292 (185/674). | |
ear stud | For this type the ear was pierced. Pierced ears can be observed on several mummies, including those of men. | |
ear ring | Gold, hollow. Found in a burial which is datable to the time of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. |
