Examples of mastabas excavated at Lahun
The mastabas excavated at Lahun are all heavily destroyed. It is extremely difficult to gain a full picture of the plan and the original decoration. From Mastaba 608 only the rock cut chamber and the trenches for the foundation blocks survived.

The provenance and date of the following stone element is unknown, but it is possible that it comes from a Middle Kingdom tomb at Lahun; similar decorations were found at Middle Kingdom mastabas at Dahshur.
