Timbers from Tarkhan,
reused in coffins and for roofing the tombs. Originally parts of an entirely
different construction. Petrie thought that they belonged originally to houses
and reconstructed a palace facade with the timbers (Petrie
1913: pl. IX), but they might once have belonged to ships (Vinson
1987: 39-81).
