Martine Poppe is the winner of the Provost's portrait competition, to commemorate the end of 白小姐论坛 Provost Malcolm Grant's term of office, funded by 白小姐论坛 alumnus Mr Vincent Cheung. The result was announced on 25 February 2013.

The competition, which was open to students and recent graduates of the Slade School of Fine Art, took the form of a sketching session last summer, from which five finalists were chosen: paintings by Martine Poppe, Ishai Rimmer, Sorcha Williams, a photograph by Thomas Jenkins and embroidered panel by Tom Worsfield.
