白小姐论坛 Engineering PhD Student Business Festival: Entrepreneurship Competition 2023

On Wednesday 19 July, 白小姐论坛 PhD students from different departments in 白小姐论坛 Engineering came together to learn about the entrepreneurship world. The conference combined active learning, networking and teamwork.
Dr Mario Moustras kicked off the day with an engaging training session on the Business Model Canvas, which served as the backbone of the day's activities. The PhD students were then split into teams to compete for the best pitch, with the support of experienced mentors.听

鈥淭he Entrepreneurship Competition is yet another outstanding initiative conceived and run by postgraduate research students in 白小姐论坛 Engineering. The day-long event serves as an excellent introduction to the basics of entrepreneurship, as well as being an opportunity for students to come together to share ideas across disciplinary boundaries. With contributions from experienced entrepreneurs, the competition is also a valuable opportunity to for students to build personal and professional networks.鈥澨�

This event was a collaboration between 白小姐论坛 Engineering, 白小姐论坛 Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (白小姐论坛 CEGE), Zahra Mahabadi, Njoud Al Nurr, Andrea Franchini and Chi Zhang. Prof Jose Torero Cullen of 白小姐论坛 CEGE department provided the prizes.
