°×С½ãÂÛ̳ academics received up £10,000 and their U of T counterparts received up to $15,000 for projects that address COVID-19 challenges
In this year's °×С½ãÂÛ̳-University of TorontoÌý(U of T) Strategic Partner Funds, six joint projects were awarded funding for collaborative activities that address COVID-19 challenges.
Proposals were assessedÌýby a committee composed of academic members from both institutions and forÌýeach successful proposal, °×С½ãÂÛ̳ academics received up £10,000Ìýand U of T academics received up to $15,000.
This is the fourth round ofÌýthis annual funding call, which supports joint research initiatives between °×С½ãÂÛ̳ academics and colleagues based at U of T, as part of the deep strategic partnership between the two institutions.
Dr Nigel Field (Institute for Global Health), one this year's recipients, said: "We are delighted to receive this funding, which gives us the opportunity to collaborate with the team from the University of TorontoÌýon a topic that is particularlyÌýtimely and important. Our project will look at the COVID-19 policy responses in both London and Toronto, with a focus on health equity. The breadth of expertise on both teams will allow us to tackle the research from a range of perspectives and will help us to connect with key stakeholders in both cities."
