External Equipment Funding Calls

A number of research funders run regular equipment or resources calls which are relevant to researchers based in the Life & Medical Sciences Faculties. These calls may require institutional contributions to the cost of the requested equipment and/or limit the number of applications that may be submitted from a given university.听

The Research Coordination Office for the Life & Medical Sciences Faculties oversees the review and triage of applications to be submitted to these external equipment and resource calls.

Open and Closed External Equipment Funding Calls

MRC mid-range equipment for biomedical research: MRC Equip-4, and BBSRC mid-range equipment for biosciences research: BBSRC ALERT 24

We are pleased to announce the Expression of Interest (EoI) for the MRC Equip-4 and BBSRC ALERT 24 for the internal triage process.

EoI for internal triage deadline: 23rd October 2024

This funding is intended to support the purchase of strategically important research capital equipment. We expect some of the successful applications to be for major equipment that will be managed within multi-user facilities such as the 白小姐论坛 Science Technology Platforms or within other existing core facilities.
