Alumni relations

°×С½ãÂÛ̳'s Advancement teamÌýencompasses the alumni relations team, which uses MySupporters to manage alumni relationships, including donations and giving.

Document management underpins many of our core services including MyFinance, MyHR, and SITS.Ìý The main service, Documentum (EDRM) is supported by ISDs Records & Workflow team.

Financial processing

°×С½ãÂÛ̳'s Finance teamsÌýhandle financial processes including spending money,Ìýreceiving money, and reporting.Ìý These processes are primarily supported by the MyFinance, Worktribe, and Axiom systems.

Oracle eBusiness Suite based finance applications including the modules : Account Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Grants Accounting, iProcurement, iExpenses, and Advanced Collections (AC)

Axiom

Finance reporting tool used by central finance and departmental finance officers. ÌýIntegrates with MyFinance and SITS Student Accounting Module (SAM)

Human Resource administration

Identity

ISD's identity teams manage a number of systems that help °×С½ãÂÛ̳ manage people's identities.Ìý The key systems are MyAccount, the Services System, and UPI

Account management service for password changes and resets. ÌýUsed by all staff and students. ÌýBest used with phone number and email registration

Services System

Enables Departmental Administrators and other departmental staff to request and revoke access to °×С½ãÂÛ̳ services (eg. computer accounts, library services, telephone services) for members of their department including staff, visitors and, where appropriate, students

UPI / °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Directory

Unique Person Indicator. ÌýIn house system to maintain a unique number for each unique person that maintains a relationship with °×С½ãÂÛ̳.Ìý Find UPI can be used by end users to search for a person's UPI number.Ìý This is done via the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Directory (logged on users only).

Estates and Facilities manageÌýa number of building and logistic related services and their website is a great starting point to access their services.Ìý Those services supported by ISD include MyCampus,ÌýCMIS (room booking), and RiskNet.

Online room booking services are provided by CMIS Go (web portal) and CMIS (client application).ÌýThis system enables all staff and other registered users to book and view °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s centrally-bookable space

Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) for estates management. MyCampus is °×С½ãÂÛ̳’sÌýportal for managing support requests. Use this page to raise service requests for maintenance, repair, cleaning, setting up for an event, or moving. You can also view °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s Buildings Register via MyCampus.Ìý

Cloud hosted RiskNet service, used by °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Estates for Incident management and Health and Safety

Library

The library runs a number of systems to allow students and staff to acces their services.Ìý These include Explore (ExLibris Primo) and PRMSÌý

Online teaching and learning environment. ÌýMoodle has a wide range of tools to support learning and teaching, including: share resources (documents, handouts, readings), support communication (forums, chat, blog, wiki), enable groupwork (wiki, database, forums, glossary), support assessment (feedback, grades, assignments (including Turnitin) and quizzes), manage administration (groups, calendar, usage reports, gradebook, questionnaire).

Timetabling support is provided throughÌý/srs/timetabling-support-service.Ìý Timetable creation is done on CMIS, which is a desktop client application.Ìý EmailÌýtimetabling@ucl.ac.ukÌýto get a user account and download the application.Ìý °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s online timetable enables students and stuff to view their personalised timetable

Search and discovery tool to showcase the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ community and its publishing, research, teaching and professional activities. ÌýReplaces IRIS

Research Publication Service (RPS)

Online platform providing a hub for °×С½ãÂÛ̳ researchers to manage a central record of their research outputs. ÌýIt works by capturing researcher’s publications from a range of sources such as Scopus, Web of Science, and CrossRef. Researchers can add records for publications manually, and can import publications lists. Ìý°×С½ãÂÛ̳ researchers upload their manuscripts in RPS, which are then made open access in °×С½ãÂÛ̳’s repository, °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Discovery. Publications in RPS populate researchers' IRIS profiles, which publicly showcase research

Reporting

Office of theÌýVP (Strategy) provides data and insight to inform management decision making.Ìý A number of reporting tools provide a front end to users to consume this data and derive their own insights.Ìý Tableau, Business Objects, and Power BI are all used.
