Statement
Professor Dacre’s publication identifying the systemic issues relating to the Gender Pay Gap within healthcare provides scope for paving the way forward. While these are immense, the need to address these are vital, especially with healthcare having some of the greatest disparities when it comes to equal pay compared to other professions.
In-line with our own objectives, of ensuring that equal opportunities are afforded to individuals regardless of their gender and that all individuals feel valued and rewarded for their work, we welcome such ground-breaking work in laying the foundations for change and improvement.Ìý
Moreover, it incentivises us within °×С½ãÂÛ̳MS to cross-collaborate on initiatives undertaken on a broader level to ensure gender inclusion and representation at all levels of work.
