During the module, the students will have the chance to work on various kinds of material, such as literary and journalistic texts. The module will target the development of skills both in critical reading and in interpretation, and it will promote an advanced understanding of the translation process. Whilst the emphasis will be on the practical aspects of translating and adapting a text, students will also be acquiring a basic understanding of theories of translation as well as the technical vocabulary appropriate to the area.
