Description
This module acts as a capstone to the BA History and Politics programme. It encourages students to draw together knowledge and understanding developed during their previous 2-3 years of study to think in multidisciplinary terms across History and Politics, and in transnational terms across the Americas. Four key themes will be engaged with contemporary examples from across the hemisphere: inequality, migration, security and environment. Students will reflect on how a range of multidisciplinary perspectives illuminate these contemporary problems, and how academic knowledge about them can be communicated to non-academic audiences by producing an op-ed, policy report, data visualization, and a podcast/video blog.
