Description
Foundations in human physiology and cell biology is a 15 credits module running in term 1 and compulsory for all IMS students. The primary aim of this module is to provide a general 鈥渇oundation鈥 to many of the key aspects of genetics, cell biology biochemistry and physiology you will need to support your studies throughout the rest of the course. Much of this may be familiar from your previous studies in biology and chemistry, but some parts of it will be new.
During this module, you will also be able introduced to the various teaching methods used on the course (flipped learning/peer-instruction/tutorials/workshops/small groups teaching) and will have the opportunity it become accustomed to the nature of studying at university.
As this is an introductory course, you will have an opportunity to develop the skills required to help you in your future studies. You will get formative feedback on these in small group teaching sessions
