The module will provide you with an introduction to the different types of material used in medicine. During this module you will explore biomaterial and implants failure mechanisms and the need for improved materials with better control of biological interactions. You will better understand on what happened when a new implant interact with blood. You will discuss how physiochemical properties of a material can be changed to aÌýdesirable biological interactions and improved implant acceptance.
