This module aims to give the student understanding of Systems Engineering and how the lifecycle is managed in a concurrent engineering context. The module introduces the concepts of Systems, Systems Thinking, Systems Engineering and Systems Engineering Management. It is our philosophy that successful projects are delivered through a combination of systems thinking, planning, management and sound engineering practices. This philosophy led us to develop the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Principles of Systems Engineering Management. These principles, which can be applied equally to technology, systems and complex projects, underpin all of our teaching and are covered extensively in this module.
