  • °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s Dr Adam Giangreco explains why he views stem cell research as holding the most promise for medical breakthroughs over the coming decades, in this short film to mark International Stem Cell Awareness Day.

    Dr Giangreco is a recent recipient of a major European Research Council grant and is based in the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Centre for Respiratory Research. Here he describes how he is exploring new treatments for lung damage and why funding stem cell research is so vital.

    The °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine brings together 169 research groups from several faculties, hospitals and institutes across °×С½ãÂÛ̳ with a common interest in all aspects of stem cells, tissue engineering, repair and regeneration and the development of their therapeutic and biotechnological potential
