Watch: °×С½ãÂÛ̳U Christmas Charity Concert
19 December 2011
°×С½ãÂÛ̳ staff and students along with local school children gathered together on 6 December for °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s 2011 Charity Concert in the Quad.
They enjoyed workshops and performances by °×С½ãÂÛ̳U Clubs and Societies, all in aid of Centrepoint, a charity which works with young homeless people to give them advice, a hot meal and even a hostel for the night.
James Skuse, Democracy and Communications Officer, °×С½ãÂÛ̳U, said: "I've been responsible for organising today's charity concert in the quad, which is an annual event where we bring together societies, staff, kids, local community, have a bit of a sing along. There is a market, mulled wine; it's just a really good way to get into the Christmas spirit."
"This year I have chosen to donate all the proceeds to Centrepoint, which is a charity which helps kids who are homeless. I hope we'll be able to make a real difference with all the money raised today", Skuse added.
Keeping with the Christmas spirit, on the 13th December, the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Chamber Music Club Choir and Orchestra, conducted by Jack Smith, performed at the Grand Christmas Concert.
