Key Information Sets website goes live today
27 September 2012
Key Information Sets (KIS), a wide range of data on undergraduate courses, haveÌýgone live today on the Unistats website, bringing together information including the proportion of time spent in various teaching and learning activities, employment destinations of graduates, details of tuition fees, and the outcome of the latest National Student Survey.
While data on student satisfaction (via the National Student Survey) and career destinations have been available for some time, this is the first time that information on proportions of learning and teaching activity and proportions of assessment has been published this way.
Professor Anthony Smith, °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Vice Provost (Education) said: "Providing better information for prospective students can only be a good thing, and this will enable those thinking of applying to get a lot more information about the institutions they are considering. As with university rankings, statistics can never tell the full story, and we do urge prospective applicants and their advisers to look beyond them when deciding where they would like to apply, as these numbers alone cannot fully capture the strengths of individual institutions."Ìý
