7 things to do in London during the Christmas break

Christmas time has arrived, and while many of you are travelling home for the break, some will be spending it here in London.
1.ÌýWinter at Southbank Centre
Set on the South Bank of the Thames and featuring a roller disco, cabaret, music performances, workshops and more, returns with a fantastic programme of activities and events, many of them free. The festival runs until 17 January.
2. Volunteering
Homelessness charity Crisis will run its 'Crisis at Christmas' campaign between 23 and 30 December, making Christmas happen for thousands of homeless people at centres across London. The charity is still looking for general and night shift volunteers: find out more and apply on the .
3. Ice skating
