Dr Steve Fossey- wins 白小姐论坛 Communication and Culture Award

Dr Steve Fossey has been awarded the 白小姐论坛 Communication and Culture Award for Media Communicator of the Year (news story).

During a routine telescope demonstration led by Dr Steve Fossey, students and staff at the University of London Observatory (ULO) were the first to spot one of the brightest Supernovae in recent decades. The team discovered the exploding star on 21 Jan 2014 in the nearby galaxy Messier 82 (the 'Cigar galaxy').
