About Us
The RDR is an exciting cross-°×С½ãÂÛ̳ department, which leads research, knowledge, education and humanitarian action. By providing a focus for °×С½ãÂÛ̳ activities, with its breadth of disciplinary emphasis, promotion of novel multidisciplinary research and translation into practice, the IRDR aims to assume a role of leadership both in the UK and internationally. The department is in the Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences (MAPS), but works across all °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s faculties, spanning natural and social sciences, mathematics and statistics, engineering and development planning, global health, anthropology, the humanities, ethics and laws, and contributes to °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s Grand Challenges.

Humanitarian Institute
We launched the Humanitarian Institute in 2016, aiming to mobilise °×С½ãÂÛ̳’s research, expertise, teaching and the student body to impact global humanitarian challenges and to promote education for global citizenship and the connected curriculum at °×С½ãÂÛ̳ as part of the Provost'sÌýStrategic Development initiative.
