The Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences brings together nine academic institutes and departments, all of whom are dedicated to investigating the social, political, economic and environmental structures and processes that shape the world.

°×С½ãÂÛ̳ Anthropology studies humanity in all its aspects: from our evolution as a species, to our relationship with the material/digital world, and our vast variety of social practices and cultural forms.

At °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Economics you'll learn to understand and debate how to address the most pressing problems in society. You'll study contemporary topics such as globalisation, the regulation of public utilities and policy choices in developing countries.

°×С½ãÂÛ̳ History of Art is one of the most dynamic centres for the study of art history and visual cultures in the world. Our research and teaching cuts across boundaries of geography, chronology and discipline.
