Student Support and Wellbeing provides information, advice and welfare support for all registered students in relation to disability, mental health, counselling, global opportunities and international student welfare, in addition to managing events and general student enquiries.

Development, Campaigns and Projects team
Responsibilities include:
- contributing to the overall Student Support and Wellbeing (SSW) service, by promoting services, events and campaigns
- ensure all °×С½ãÂÛ̳ students benefit from a rich and diverse range of extracurricular and wellbeing services and experiences which build their sense of community and support positive mental, emotional and physical wellbeing
- manage SSW’s online information and resources
- promote awareness of SSW’s support services and healthy lifestyles
- manage partnerships with external organisations
- deliver continuous improvement projects
- lead and coordinate all SSW staff training
- lead enhanced coordination of student inductions across °×С½ãÂÛ̳
- organise Student Support and Wellbeing events for welcome and throughout the student lifecycle
- lead support in halls of residence through Wardens and Student Residence Advisers (SRAs)
- lead on the Student Health and Wellbeing Community of Practice

Disability, Mental Health and Wellbeing team
Responsibilities include:
- provide a comprehensive range of support services for students who have a disability which impacts upon their studies at °×С½ãÂÛ̳
- support students with physical and sensory impairments, specific learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders, mental health difficulties, and long-term health conditions
- arrange for adjustments to learning environments, loan out specialist equipment and provide one-to-one tutoring and support for students with specific learning difficulties
- provide one-to-one support to students to help mitigate the impact of mental health conditions
- support and provide appropriate external referrals to students affected by domestic and/or sexual violence
- inform and advise students considering interruption of study for health and/or wellbeing reasons
- support students who return to study following an interruption due to health and/or wellbeing reasons

Study Abroad and International Student Support
Responsibilities include:
- provide specialist support and advice for all non-UK students at °×С½ãÂÛ̳
- help to support students through the transition to university in the UK by organising the International Student Orientation Programme (ISOP) at the start of each term
- co-ordinate and promote the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Study Abroad programme, including mobility opportunities through Erasmus
- together with the Global Engagement Office (GEO), co-ordinate °×С½ãÂÛ̳’s relationship with partner institutions
- co-ordinate and develop opportunities for students to go abroad on short placements
- provide administrative and welfare support to all undergraduate students undertaking a period abroad as part of their studies

Student Enquiries Centre team
Responsibilities include:
- manage the face-to-face point of contact for student-related enquiries from new and current °×С½ãÂÛ̳ students, academics, faculties and departments, and the wider °×С½ãÂÛ̳ community
- offer email support to new and current students, and provide confirmation of a student’s enrolment at °×С½ãÂÛ̳
- deliver the new student enquiries management project and related systems
