The Haldane Events series was initiated in June 2004 to give 'behind the scenes' glimpses of °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s academic life to ASCR members and their guests; subsequently, the range was broadened to include readings and music.
The 15th Haldane Event took place on Wednesday 7th December, when Rob Eagle (°×С½ãÂÛ̳ Communications) showed "°×С½ãÂÛ̳: seven decades on film", a compilation of highlights from the UC Film Society archive not screened for many decades, including the incident of the Zebra Crossing, as well as some of the quirkier stories from °×С½ãÂÛ̳ nowadays.
The 15th was the last in the Haldane series - but not the last ASCR event. From 2012 a broader range of events will be held in the Housman Room: further information will follow in the New Year.
