Display content on the Digital Signage
Digital Signage is displaying in various locations across the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Campus. This service is available for staff to communicate key internal messagesÌýto other staff, students and visitors. You can find the necessary information about this serviceÌýhere.
Before you start
You’ll need to:
- Consider who the target audience for your content is.
- Identify which screens you’d like to display your content on.
You should be aware of:
- The fact that screens can display in portrait or landscape orientationÌý
–ÌýStaff-facing screens are in landscapeÌý
–ÌýStudent-facing screens are in both portrait and landscape, but mostly portrait (Student Centre and Libraries)
–ÌýProduce your content in both if needed

- 1. Create your Digital Signage content
Create the content in the correct format ready to be displayed on Digital Signage across campus.

1. Decide whether you need to create the content in portrait, landscape or both.
2. If you need a template, you can find them in either orientation below.
3. If you are creating a single slide without animation, you’ll need to export/save this as a PNG file.
4. If you are creating a slide with animation, a gif or a short video, you’ll need to save this as an MP4 file.
5. Please note the recommended sizes are: Landscape screens: 1920x1080 or Portrait screens: 1080x1920

- 2. Send content to the Content Manager
Find out who to send your content to.

Send your content to a Local Content Manager or the Central Content Manager, depending on the intended audience.
Email digitalcommunications@ucl.ac.uk asking them for the contact details of the relevant content manager.Ìý
To help identify the right content manager, specify the following:
- Intended audience (staff/students)
- Intended department(s)
- Intended building(s)
- 3. Submit your content for displaying
Submit your content to display across the Digital Signage.

Once you have the contact details of your content manager, email your content to them.
- Remember to send it to them in the correct format (see Step 1).Ìý
- Make clear where you would like your content to be displayed.
- Make clear the dates you would like your content displaying from and until.
