Set up an eSignature account for my department using DocuSign
You will find out how to:
- request an account ; and
- add users to your account.
Before you start
Find out if there is an existing DocuSign account in use in your department. If you are unsure, you can email the ISD Purchasing TeamÌýto find out if there is an existing account for your department.Ìý
- 1. Request a departmental account for DocuSign

Email the ISD IT Purchasing TeamÌýrequesting a DocuSign account. Please provide the details below in the request.Ìý
- your account name (this should be your department or group name);
- contact details, includingÌýname, email address, address and phone number.
- 2. Activate your DocuSign account and log in

You will receive an email from DocuSign inviting you to activate your user account. Click the link in your email and log in to DocuSign. To log in:Ìý
- Type in your °×С½ãÂÛ̳ email address (e.g. j.bloggs@ucl.ac.uk); and
- Type in your °×С½ãÂÛ̳ user ID and password.
- 3. Add more users to your department's account so they can create and send documents for signing

Adding users to your accountÌý
- In DocuSign eSignature Admin, click 'Users'.Ìý
- °ä±ô¾±³¦°ì  'Add user'.Ìý
- Enter the email address for the new user and click  'Next'.Ìý
- For the new user, in the Profile Information step, enter the user's full name and default language setting and complete any additional profile information as needed.Ìý
After activation, the user can change these fields from their My Preferences.Ìý - Click 'Next'.Ìý
- (Optional) In the Security step, add an access code to the activation email. If you add a code, you must provide the code to the userÌýin order forÌýthem to activate their account.Ìý
- Click 'Next'.Ìý
- In the permission profile and Groups step:Ìý
- Select a permission profile to assign to the new user. See  for more information.Ìý
- Optional: click 'Assign groups' Ìýto select groups to assign to the new user.Ìý
- Click 'Add user'.Ìý
The user is added to the account with the status 'Pending'.Ìý
The user will receiveÌýan activation email and must complete the activation steps to activate their new account. Once they do so, their membership status changes to 'Active'.Ìý
