We are delighted to announce that Ioanna Lapatoura, Lecturer at °×С½ãÂÛ̳ Laws and IBIL member, passed her PhD viva voce examination earlier this week. Ioanna's thesis, entitledÌýIntellectual property infringement in fashion: insufficient enforcement and how blockchain may change the landscapeÌýwas supervised at the University of Nottingham by Professors Paul Torremans and Estelle Derclaye.ÌýIt is a doctrinal and comparative research of the UK, EU and US jurisdictions, focusing on trade marks, copyright and design rights/design patents.ÌýHerÌýexaminers were Professor Eleonora Rosati (Stockholm University) and Dr Nicholas Gervassis (University of Nottingham).ÌýDr Reza Beheshti of University of Nottingham chaired theÌýviva.
