IDEAs: Inspiration for digital engagement activities
Ìý
The IDEA (InspirationÌýfor digital engagement activities) cards contain 19 activities teaching staff can use in face-to-face or online teaching to activelyÌýengageÌýstudents in their learning.
Each IDEA outlines why and when to use it, the workload and set-up time required, digital tools you could use to carry it out and any other resources you might need. We also share examples of staff have used each one.Ìý
You can search or browse the activities by their pedagogical aim or by one of four themes: 'on-the-fly' activities, ongoing embedded activities, reflective activities or activities to developÌýassessment literacy.Ìý
These activities help students to:
- become more involved and aware in the learning process;
- develop a better understanding of their assessments;
- gain confidence in what they are expected to learn and to what standard; and
- become more active in seeking clarification and support when needed.
